Description
Our tapping units "UM" are available as quill units or slide units. They can be used in single spindle applications or with multispindle heads depending on the application.
The units can be driven with any kind of motor. Standard, however, are electric motors which drive the spindle, to which a leadscrew in an oil bath is attached. Motors can be supplied with or without electromechanical brake (please specify). Leadscrews have ground threads and are available in metric, inch or special pitches. All units are equipped with an adjustable safety system to prevent tool breakage in case of the tool meeting an obstruction. As an option, we can supply a rapid advance kit in either hydraulic or pneumatic version.
